El base dice adi\u00f3s tras 15 a\u00f1os en la liga<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaun\u00a0Livingston<\/strong>\u00a0anunci\u00f3 el viernes su retiro del b\u00e1squetbol.\u00a0Tras estar 15 a\u00f1os en la NBA,<\/strong>\u00a0el guardia public\u00f3 un mensaje en su cuenta de Twitter agradeciendo a toda la gente que le ayud\u00f3 antes y durante su carrera en el mejor b\u00e1squetbol del mundo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Tras 15 a\u00f1os en la NBA, estoy emocionado, triste, afortunado y agradecido al mismo tiempo. Es dif\u00edcil escribir todas las emociones que conlleva el intentar y lograr tus sue\u00f1os. No se supon\u00eda que yo llegar\u00eda a esto. Todos los que han desafiado las probabilidades comprende el desgaste mental y emocional que implica el inspirarte a ti mismo durante una batalla cuesta arriba, sin hablar de inspirar a otros. ‘La lesi\u00f3n’ me dio la oporutnidad de encontrarme y probarme a m\u00ed mismo (y al mundo) que no me definir\u00edan mis circunstancias. En mi tiempo en la liga, lo que m\u00e1s orgullo me genera es el hecho de que el car\u00e1cter, valores y fe fueron puestos a prueba, y logr\u00e9 superarlo. A mis padres, que me dijeron que ‘fuera por la gran pelota’, LES AGRADEZCO. A mi abuelo que siempre me ense\u00f1\u00f3 que hay algo m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del b\u00e1squetbol, TE AGRADEZCO. A mis t\u00edos que ayudaron a criarme como si fuera uno de sus hijos, GRACIAS. A mi esposa e hijos, el futuro es m\u00e1s brillante que el pasado y no podr\u00eda iniciar este nuevo cap\u00edtulo sin ustedes. A todos mis compa\u00f1eros, coaches, entrenadores, staff , mi camino es un conjunto d experiencias y a los que me ayudaron en \u00e9l, GRACIAS! A todos los fans y la gente que me inspir\u00f3, apoy\u00f3, alent\u00f3 o siquiera me dijo palabras de aliento, GRACIAS. “El mayor regalo que podemos dar es servir a otros”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 15 years in the NBA, I\u2019m excited, sad, fortunate and grateful all in one breath. Hard to put into a caption all of the emotions it takes to try and accomplish your dreams. I wasn\u2019t supposed to be here. Anybody that has beat the odds understands the mental and emotional strain it takes to inspire yourself on an uphill war, let alone inspire others. \u201cThe injury\u201d gave me a chance to find and prove to myself (and the world) that I wouldn\u2019t be defined by my circumstances. With my time in the League what I will be most proud of is the fact that my character, values and faith were tested, and I persevered. To my pops that told me to \u201cgo get the big ball\u201d I THANK YOU. To my Grandpa that always showed me there was more to life than basketball I THANK YOU. To my Uncles that helped raise me like I was one of their own, THANK YOU. To my wife and kids…the future IS BRIGHTER than our past, and I couldn\u2019t see myself taking on this chapter without you. To all of my teammates, coaches, TRAINERS, staff, my journey is a collection of experiences, and those of you that helped me along the way, THANK YOU!
